  • Abstract
      • How can a school, district, or organization effectively organize itself to successfully train staff and implement Curriculum for the 21st century? How do you rethink your leadership structure to support and sustain lasting change? What is comprised in the training design and implementation plan? What content and skills need to be taught to ensure success? These are a few of the critical questions that schools, districts, and organization need to address to thoughtfully design a curriculum that will help their students be successful in their futures.

  • Full Description
      • It is has been our experience that successful implementation begins with a leadership team who works collaboratively to develop a comprehensive training design and professional development plan around the four phases of Mapping and quality curriculum design:
I. Laying the Foundation
The Prologue to Mapping and 21st Century Curriculum, Establishing the Reasons for Mapping, and Creating a Shared Vision.

      • II. Launching the Process / Getting Started
      • Ensuring Long-Term Support, Creating Individual Maps, Initiating the Review Process, Developing Consensus Maps, and Master Mapping Strategies ||
      • III. Maintaining, Sustaining and Integrating Mapping into the System
      • Establishing Benchmark Assessments, Merging Assessment Results into Maps, Integrating Active Literacy in the Maps, Developing an Implementation Map/Plan, Making the HUB work: Integrating Other Initiatives ||
      • IV. Advanced Mapping Tasks
      • Integrating 21st Century Skills, Replacing Dated Curriculum, Upgrading to Contemporary Assessment Types, and Rethinking School Formats and Structures.

The structure provides the framework for thoughtfully updating of your school's, district's, or organization's curriculum and assessment using the
mapping process.
It incorporates curriculum mapping software as a contemporary tool to share information virtually and provide efficient and effective collaboration. The goal is to
help each teacher and administrator move into dynamic and strategic use of 21st century tools, Web 2.0 applications, and global connections to expand the
classroom experience for their learners.
